FUNCTION FITNESS FOOD FRIENDS
You are invited to Original Movement's Open Day. We will be providing you and your friends with a fun and educational day of function, fitness and food. We have two slots available either 10:00-12:30 or 13:00-15:30.
The Day
10:00-10:30 - Welcome, meet the team and Tour of OM facilities.
10:30- 12:30 - Split into groups and rotate through the following groups.
Group 1: Function with James and Sally
This will be a workshop focusing on everything therapy related. James will be showing how to make your body more functional through Osteopathy and integrated training. Sally will be demonstrating how acupuncture, Chinese medicine and sports massage can aid your health, function and training performance. The team will also demonstrate some further therapeutic techniques such as tool assisted massage, fascial manipulation and Kinesio Taping.
Group 2: Fitness with Ali and Helen
This group will be taken through a workshop focusing on everything fitness related. Personal Trainers Ali and Helen will teach you how to perform a safe and effective warm up, how to do an effective cardio vascular program, how to do an effective resistance program, how to work your core muscles effectively and how to do a safe and effective cool down/stretching program.
Group 3: - Food with Stephen
We will all regroup for the final half an hour where Stephen Tongue will give you a short presentation on food and nutrition. Including what's healthy, what amounts/types of protein, carbohydrate and fats you should be eating and a few healthy eating tips. He will also rustle up a homemade, quick and easy smoothie recipe for all that attend to sample. The Open Day will finish with a Q & A section, where you can ask the team any burning questions you might have. Also every team member will have their diary's available so you can book a complimentary session or block book a package of sessions.
Friends: They will be plenty of time to mingle and meet new friends.
The same format will be repeated 13:00-15:30 for people who cannot attend in the morning.
Important Information
1) Spaces are limited so you must confirm via, Facebook, email or telephone that you wish to attend.
2) The day's main theme is friends. We want to meet new people! So we expect everyone to bring at least one friend or family member with them on the day.
3) Gym kit is optional. The day is all about meeting the team at Original Movement and seeing what we have to offer. There will be some practical parts but they won't be too vigorous so training gear is your choice.
4) It's free! The Open Day is completely free of charge, it won't cost you anything but a few hours out of your day.
